Every summer, New Yorkers flock to the Hamptons in search of sun, sand, and a little luxury. The pristine hamlets that line Eastern Long Island's coast have it all: manicured hedges, stately historic homes, and the best in luxury shopping. While there's no denying that a day in the Hamptons is best spent at the beach or exploring local vineyards, there's never a bad day to do a little shopping as well.
After all, the Hamptons attracts New York City's most affluentВ people. And with that comes fantastic shopping in beautiful stores that are never crowded-quite a refreshing opposite to walking into a Zara on Fifth Avenue on a Saturday afternoon. Shopping in the Hamptons runs the gamut from expertly curated dГ©cor storesВ and avant-garde fashion boutiques to flashy mass retailer flagships and small independent beachy pop-up shops. Ready to lose all your savings to these irresistibly merchandised boutiques? There are our must-stop Hamptons fashion stores.В
In SouthamptonCourtesy of One Kings Lane
Southampton is the first town you cross when entering the Hamptons. In essence, it's the region's quieter and posher town (alongside East Hampton). It is, after all, home to the famous Billionaire Lane. Take a walk along Jobs Lane and Main Street, where most of the shops are located, and you'll come across the usual suspects: Vineyard Vines, a stunning Club Monaco flagship, J.Crew,В Ralph Lauren, and Pottery Barn. You'll also be charmed by Roberta Roller Rabbit and Tennis East, and expect a fewВ popular outposts from BandierВ to Intermix. Above all, be sure not to miss a few of our favorites:
One Kings Lane:В Southampton was the home ofВ One Kings Lane's first flagship store. It's located inВ aВ 19th-century former library, and you can expect beautifully curated shoppable rooms.

In East Hampton
East Hampton is essentially the heart of the Hamptons. With its weeping willow-lined ponds filled with graceful swans to its historic windmills and manicured streets, it's everything you'd envision from this region. All the action happens on Main Street and Newtown Lane, so get your wallets ready. Of course, the Hamptons' more upscale destination has flagship stores from Restoration Hardware, Ralph Lauren, Elie Tahari, Brunello Cucinelli, Oliver Peoples, Orlebar Brown, and even Tesla, but it also has fantastic smaller boutiques from Nili Lotan, Milly, Blue & Cream-andВ one of the best consignment shops: What Goes Around Comes Around. Though we're not short on choice in this beachy locale, here are our favorites:
Reformation Beach House:В We love shopping Reformation's online store, but we loveВ its East Hampton beach house even more. Airy and bright, it's the perfect backdrop to try flowy floral dresses.
85 Main Street, East Hampton
St. Frank:В The San Francisco dГ©cor brand is back in East Hampton for the second summer in a row. Expect beautiful worldly textiles and accessories at St. Frank.
78 Main Street, East Hampton
AERIN East Hampton:В EstГ©e Lauder's granddaughter has taken up shop on Newtown Lane this summer, with a new fashion, beauty, and dГ©cor store calledВ Aerin that's bigger and better than her old Southampton spot.

In Sag HarborCourtesy of Monc XIII
In many ways, Sag Harbor is the Hamptons' quieter more quaint cousin to the north. Here, historic homes are smaller and more centrally located. Main Street is picturesque and lined with tall trees and carefully curated shops. You won't find any big flagships here. The shops are mostly locally owned and located along Main Street and Ferry Road. Some must-visits include Ruby Beets (a fantastic antique store), AYR Beach House, Harbor Books, Joey Wölffer, and LoveShackFancy. But our favorites are not to be missed:
MONC XIII: Hands down our favorite dГ©cor store in the Hamptons (and possibly beyond), MONC XIII is a meticulously curated two-story space filled with a mix of vintage Italian modern designs and a few new accessories. It's worth the detour.
40 Madison Street, Sag Harbor
Bloom: Located across the street from MONC XIII, Bloom is like stepping inside the farmhouse of an ultra-stylish It girl. Think heirloom linens, hand-thrown ceramic dishware, vintage black-and-white photography. Walkthrough the main rooms and into the quaint leafy courtyard where an Astier de Villatte pottery shed is hidden.В
43 Madison Street, Sag Habor
Goop Pop-Up: This year, Goop has taken its Hamptons pop-up from Amagansett to Sag Harbor's waterfront. Expect everything you'd find onВ its online store beautifully curated in a beachy multi-room space.
4 Bay Street, Sag Harbor
Wölffer Kitchen: Sit outside at Wölffer Kitchen and order a glass of local rosé and campanelle, a pasta tossed with fennel sausage, broccoli rabe, chili flakes, and black olives.

In MontaukCourtesy of The Surf Lodge
Montauk is the Hampton's easternmost point, and the region's younger, scruffier, and more laid-back cousin. Though it has historically been a sleepy enclave for fishermen and surfers alike, it's been transformed into a vacation hotspot thanks to a few popular haunts like The Surf Lodge and The Crow's Nest. In many ways, Montauk retains its beachy surfer vibe, but there is still great shopping to be done, namely at stores like Calypso St. Barth, Gansett Lane, and Share With. But before you go, be sure to check out our local favorites.
Cynthia Rowley:В One of the oldest high-fashion stores in Montauk, local residentВ Cynthia Rowley blends surfer's edge and elegant flowy summer style in her quaint Montauk store.
